You are known as a highly progressive company that, since its founding in 2020, has managed to develop around 60 slots, received the Industry Rising Star of 2022 award from SiGMA, and shown social activity. Where does your team draw so much energy and inspiration from?

It’s always nice to look back at these achievements. Thank you for the research and this reminder.

Let’s say, what is the point of doing things differently? From the very beginning, Gamzix set very ambitious goals. And we always transmit this idea to our partners, players, and team. Inspiration and energy are coming from the right community. And this community is our team. When you surround yourself with people who share the same values and have a high level of professional skills, it’s impossible to have a different vibe. Also, nominations, winnings, new partnerships, and expanding to new markets make us realize how far we’ve already gone and how many opportunities await.

What key values do your company's operations rely on?

Values in Gamzix always adjust our actions and help us to follow the path we’ve chosen at the beginning. Here are the main that help us to be who we are:

  • Team. People are the heart of the business. There is nothing you can do without great professionals and amazing personalities. We've created a team and are very proud of everyone who shares good and tough times with us.

  • Flexibility and open-mindedness. Stability is not something this world can suggest. And the only way to grow is to be flexible and open to changes. Thanks to our amazing team, we can offer our best to the community.

  • Creativity and out-of-the-box thinking. Even in an era of technological progress, creativity still comes from people. Their ideas, decisions, and choices make the company stand out.

Has your team always been able to achieve such powerful productivity? What were the challenges, difficulties, and setbacks? How did you manage to overcome them? Were there any issues that you couldn't overcome?

All the main processes in the company were built at the very beginning. It’s way easier to set rules when the team is quite small. So, one year later, when Gamzix became twice bigger, we followed the same algorithms but with a bigger team. As an HRD and HR manager in the past, I have to say that most problems can be resolved by giving time and attention to people. When they feel seen and heard, problems don’t go too far, and we can solve them at early stages.

The key to productivity is our people, for sure. The more specialists join us, the more ambitious goals we set. Also, we never hide that we expect full immersion from our specialists when we hire new ones. Because it is honest and saves time for both sides.

In which countries' markets are you currently most actively promoting your product? Why specifically there?

Western Europe, so far, is our main region. Choosing the area is the decision of the whole company based on previous research because we want to fit into new markets perfectly.

But, as our partners work in different areas too, our games are also available there. This is the first step to conquer more players around the globe.

What can you say about the gambling culture in these regions? How do players perceive this industry, what about legislation?

I don’t think I’m the right specialist to make such conclusions, but I’ll share my opinion. Of course, every country has different values and gambling culture. Even if the whole industry is about entertainment, each has specific regulations.

We are a responsible company, so we follow all the necessary rules to become a part of the gambling community in every region. As I said before, to enter a new market, our marketing, technical, product, and commercial teams join the chat for global research. Based on it we can understand how much time and resources we’ll need to conquer a new top.

Which countries do you plan to expand into in the near future? What factors influence this choice?

I hope we can eventually tap into all markets, although additional time is required. But our team is working very hard to make it real. Markets of Africa, Asia, and Latin America are our priority now.

This choice is based, again, on research and, personally, I think on the fact that there are a lot of loyal gambling communities there. Also, the farther you go, the more growth you get. And this has always been our top desire.

In your opinion, what could enhance the development of the iGaming industry, and why is its development important?

Companies need to develop to remain competitive, adapt to changing market dynamics, capitalize on new opportunities, and sustain long-term growth. IGaming industry is dynamic, rich, and full of opportunities. It would be so boring to stay aside from all the changes we can successfully implement.

The industry will grow and expand if every company, slot provider, software provider, gambling platform, or casino follows new changes to become a better player choice.

How is your company contributing and prepared to contribute further in this regard?

Firstly, we contribute to Gamzix as a company itself. This is the first place where everything starts for us: new games, new challenges, new achievements. We contribute to our people, and they become a reason for every success. We contribute to our players by creating more and more games they will enjoy. And we contribute to the industry by creating new mechanics, features, designs, characters, and plots.

The industry's future is based on many professionals who grow from small companies to big corporations. And technologies, for sure, that can be successfully implemented in so many areas.

How can the development of the industry be aligned with promoting social responsibility or social activism?

I am sure that social responsibility is important to the company's existence. It shows your values and beliefs and helps build a community that follows the same ideas. Also, we live in a time when social media, customers, and people on the Internet have so much power in a brand's lives. They can put you on top or bring you down easily. So, we must pay more attention and put more effort into success.

We are always happy to support the local ideas of our team members, share the information they are promoting, and help in any possible way.

Also, we are 100% into responsible gambling. It helps players prevent problems like spending too much money, getting addicted, or having trouble with friends and family. Responsible gambling teaches people how to make smart choices and provides help if someone needs it.

Do you plan to expand your social activity? For example, it's known that you actively help refugees and donate to the needs of victims of Russian aggression. What else is planned?

As a part of our team located in Ukraine, we had to take urgent measures to save our people’s lives after the war started. So relocating to a safe place became a first step. Then, we worked on providing the necessary equipment for everyone and continued to work as possible. No matter how much our people worked when settling down in a new place, they have always been supported and paid as usual.

Also, Gamzix donated more than €50,000. And we continue to do it. Because there is nothing more horrible than war and nothing that simple like helping people in any possible way. Of course, we plan to continue supporting our team members locally if they need it and donate money to charity funds.

What can you say about the job market in the iGaming sector: which specialists are currently the hardest to find, and what positive trends or tendencies would you highlight?

You might not believe me if I say that it’s way easier to find technical specialists than ones in the business or marketing field. The reason is that the specifics of the industry can be more challenging than the availability of a professional background. For example, a sales manager in a candy shop and a sales manager in IGaming are two different positions. And, most of the time, understanding the industry and its rules is 50% of success.

A useful tip for candidates: finding a job in summer and winter is way easier. The amount of open vacancies is the same, but the number of candidates is way less. So, you have an opportunity to attract attention faster.

What makes you most proud of your team?

I am very proud to grow as a specialist and grow the team simultaneously. I remember when, just 1,5 years ago, I was the only HR manager in the company, and now I am responsible for other specialists helping me create the Gamzix community. So, growing rapidly is not just a typical phrase you see a lot in job descriptions.

We are motivated, and share similar ideas and values. No matter how different our job titles are, we’ll always find something that unites us. And I think this is more than enough at work. We are not a family. Our families wait for us at home. We are colleagues who work on the same idea and put everything he/she can on it.

Is your company looking for new team members? If so, what kind of specialists do you need?

If I say what vacancies are open now, they can become irrelevant when this interview is posted.

Open vacancies at Gamzix become closed fast. So, to catch your chance, you must look closer at our website or LinkedIn page. All the available positions we post there.

What type of person (in terms of personal qualities and skills) could become part of your team?

We are not necessarily looking for specialists with years of experience. As a young, open-minded, and flexible company, we want to be surrounded by the same specialists. It might sound cliché, but sometimes the desire to learn is way more important than the desire just to be. In Gamzix, we have a lot of stories where people come with basic skills and end up in team-leader positions.

Of course, the requirements for everyone depending on the vacancy, but we prefer active and positive people.

We grow. And if you grow with us, you’ll get career changes and professional and financial development.
