Digitalization (or the transition to digital technologies) makes adjustments to the labor relations among Ukrainians.
We remind you that Law of Ukraine No. 1217-IX of 05.02.2021 entered into force on June 10, 2021 on electronic workbooks.
What is good about such an innovation? Firstly, the digitization of documents is convenient, and the transition of workbooks to an online format was only a matter of time.
Besides, the electronic workbook has many advantages:
The electronic work book can display all data about the employee: length of service, hiring, dismissal, etc.
Considering that the transition to digital books is not a quick thing, the legislation gave 5 years for this process. Meanwhile, citizens can use both the old paper and electronic versions of the workbook. The receipt of the work record itself takes place in 3 stages.
You can create the electronic version of work book at the state portal. First, you need to create an account.
The user registers on the portal using the application code, which he receives from one of the territorial PFU authorities.
To do this, you need to write an appropriate application, as well as provide a passport and identification code. You will also need to enter your username and password.

So, after successful authorization in the personal account, the user can see all the data about his work experience. To do this, you just need to go to the Electronic Work Book section.

Please note: the site will display data on work experience starting from 2004. If your work activity started earlier, you can add information by sending scanned copies of documents.
As for getting an excerpt from the electronic workbook and receiving a request, then the sequence is as follows:
1. Go to the Request for Electronic Documents section in the Communications with PFU section.
2. In the window that opens, select a request for an excerpt from the electronic workbook.
In the same place, we specify our phone number, and basic data and send a request to the PFU.
Usually the request is processed instantly and the finished document can be received immediately after sending it to the PFU.
To do this, go to the My Requests section, where all information on the status of the request and its execution will be displayed.
There you can also download an excerpt from the electronic workbook in pdf or in the format of an electronic document with EDS (electronic digital signature).
Now, with the electronic version of the workbook, you can submit requests online, provide the necessary data on work experience, etc.
Private entrepreneurs should make records of their employment only in one case: if they have hired employees.
