Requirements:

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled QA Analyst with strong SQL skills and ideally some experience in Python. As a QA Analyst, you will work with our Data Services team to verify their ETL processes and validate that the data in our reports accurately reflects what’s in the platform.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Data Services team to understand their ETL processes
Create test plans and test cases to validate the accuracy and completeness of the data in our reports
Develop and execute SQL scripts to perform data validation and verification
Analyze and troubleshoot data-related issues, and work with the Data Services team to resolve them
Document test results and report issues to the relevant teams
Contribute to the improvement of the testing process by identifying areas for improvement
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on data validation
Strong SQL skills, including the ability to write complex queries and manipulate data
Familiarity with Python is preferred
Experience with data storage technologies such as MySQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Responsibilities:
• Performs as a database advisor and consultant
• Participates in cross-functional meetings with stakeholders to understand database requirements and produce options/solutions
• Provides subject matter expertise on all aspects of database management including Database design, capacity management, security, backup & recovery, disaster recovery, performance tuning and automation
• Ensures the performance and reliability of the global database environment inclusive of both cloud and on-premises systems
• Performs advanced troubleshooting for problems

Required skills:
• 3+ years of experience in database administration, particularly with Microsoft SQL
• Full technical knowledge of RDBMS and NOSQL databases
• Experience in data modeling; conducting performance tuning, backup, recovery, scalability, and capacity planning
• Track record of engineering performance and availability solutions.
• Experience with NoSQL - preferably MongoDB, MySQL and PostgreSQL- is a plus
• Experience with BI tools/modeling for high-scale Analytics

З якими завданнями зустрінеться наш колега:

супровід баз даних PostgreSQL;
запобігання операційним зупинкам роботи системи, які можуть відбуватися через перенавантаження на роботу баз даних;
планування роботи над системами на найближчі 6 місяців для запобігання критичним проблемам;
моніторинг продуктивності вузлів та кластерів баз даних;
робота з дисковим сховищем;
оптимізація параметрів баз даних;
покращення та вдосконалення логічного дизайну баз даних;
аналіз повільних запитів та розробка їх оптимізації; взаємодіючи з розробниками ПЗ;
оновлення баз даних шляхом встановлення та тестування нових версій СУБД;
контроль прав доступу користувачів та привілеїв;
робота із резервними копіями, перевірка їх: цілісності, працездатності;
перевірка та оптимізація процедур відновлення баз даних;
підготовка та супровід документації.

Для виконання завдань знадобиться:

3+ досвіда роботи на аналогічній посаді;
досвід роботи з операційними системами ОС Linux (Debian, Ubuntu);
встановлення та оновлення бази даних із вихідного коду PostgreSQL (Version від 13.0);
досвід роботи з конфігурацією реплікації у PostgreSQL;
знання де-факто стандартів кращих практик у PostgreSQL та досвід застосування кейсів на практиці;
знання особливостей різних версій PostgreSQL та застосування їх на практиці при роботі з розширенням, розміткою, індексами та процедурами, автовакуумом, збиранням статистики тощо;
досвід написання скриптів для автоматизації. Python/ruby/bash;
досвід та розуміння High Availability (HA) та Disaster Recovery (DR);
відмінні навички вирішення критично складних ситуацій;
розвинені комунікативні навички для роботи у команді.
