The companies’ outlook regarding junior employees significantly differs.
Some prefer to hire already experienced specialists who will almost immediately be able to benefit the business and perform the necessary work, while others think that it is easier to teach an unskilled person exactly what the company needs and to fit into the team. LC Work asked 12 companies from the IT, Gambling and Betting, Affiliate Marketing, and Recruiting industries about their attitudes toward Junior recruitment.

Company representatives answered several of our questions regarding their views on hiring junior specialists. This brief study can be used to draw certain conclusions while looking for a job or drawing up an HR strategy for a business. But still, it’s not an objective picture of the market, because in each individual case, there are many nuances in the process of creating a team of employees.
For the most part, businesses are still willing to hire beginners, however, the number is still not so impressive.
Among the interviewed representatives of the companies, the majority hired at least one junior employee in the last year, and only one company did not hire a single one.
So, for example, Wild Wild Leads allowed 30 juniors to work, BAKOTECH took 15 to the team, the recruiting company iHuman took 4 and helped another 10 meet their employers, Paxle offered jobs to 13 juniors, and Leadsdoit - 20.
Ukrainian companies, which is logical, mainly hire specialists from Ukraine. Preference is given either to those who live on the territory of the country or to citizens who have gone abroad. Only BAKOTECH is ready to accept residents of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan in addition to Ukrainians.
Of course, first of all, everything depends on the specialization of the business itself and the skills required by the position, but there are certain similar points in different companies, for example, many are ready to give a chance to software developers, sales and future specialists in affiliate or digital marketing.
Yes, Wild Wild Leads is hiring for both Software Engineer and Support Manager positions. BAKOTECH – sales and pre-sale. iHuman is looking for juniors at all levels of Digital Marketing for clients. Paxle is ready to hire an Affiliate Marketing and Software Engineer, Leadsdoit – Android / IOS developers, Assistant of appeal.
Also, companies are ready to hire employees without many years of experience for the positions of Affiliate/Account Marketing, JS development, Media Buying, Lead Gen, and farming.
It is expected that two-thirds of the companies we surveyed plan to continue their policy of hiring juniours and taking on new employees.
However, two companies that hired one junior each the previous year don’t plan to cooperate with beginning specialists in 2023.
Those who still plan to take juniors understand quite clearly how many jobs they are willing to provide to such specialists. And if some can take only 1-2 Juniors, other companies allocate more vacancies.
Four Juniors can try to get to Wild Wild Leads, 10 to BAKOTECH, iHuman will be looking for more than 10 beginners, Paxle – 5-8, and Leadsdoit – 5.
In general, it cannot be said that the market is not ready to take junior employees. There are vacancies and opportunities for employment. However, there are not so many of them that there is enough for everyone, so competition among juniors is high in any direction. In order to get a job, you need to stand out among others with a willingness to work hard and at the same time study, a desire to succeed in your field, and an adequate perception of reality.
